Your Atwood GH6-8E has cutout dimensions of 12-1/2" H x 16" W x 18" D while the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU - 16" x 16" Door Item # FR98SR is 19-3/16" deep x 12-5/8" tall x 12-13/16" wide so you will need to do a little bit of modification to the cutout but you'll be much happier with this water heater's performance.

The # FR98SR requires:

A hot (outlet) and cold (inlet) water line each with 1/2" female NPT fittings to connect to the unit. It requires a water inlet pressure rating of 7.2 PSI - 65 PSI to properly operate.

A gas line with a 3/8" female flared tip and gas inlet pressure of 11" WC minimum to 14" WC maximum to properly operate.

12v DC power. Depending on the distance from the battery you may face a voltage drop off and need a thicker gauge wire. 16 gauge for a max distance of 40' or 14 gauge for a max distance of 66'. The black wire is your positive and the white wire is your negative. The blue wires run to your controller and polarity doesn't matter so it doesn't matter which one is attached to which one on the controller.

The # FR98SR produces 19+ gallons an hour versus the 12 gallons an hour a normal tank water heater would produce. A normal tank water heater has a BTU rating around 10,000 while this unit has a rating of 13,000-60,000 BTU's. The Vortex system mixes hot and cold water to eliminate fluctuations and reduce the risk of hot water scalding and the dual temperature sensors automatically shut power off if the water temperature exceeds a safe limit.
