Determining If Weight Distribution Hitch Will Fit Coachmen Clipper Classic 1270ST W/ Side Mount Jack
Question:
I have a Coachmen Clipper Classic 1270ST popup which has a side mounted jack. Is it possible to use a weight distribution hitch with the side mounted jack like this? If it isnt, what are some alternatives to the side mounted jack that would allow a WDH to be used. My tow vehicle is a 2015 Toyota Sienna XLE.

It may be possible to use a weight distribution hitch with the side mounted jack on your Coachmen Clipper Classic 1270ST Pop Up Camper, but it will depend where it is located.
Based on the pictures of trailers similar to yours that I was able to find it appears your trailer has an A-Frame. If that is the case then installing an A-Frame jack like the # TJA-5000S-B if it has the center jack mounting hole.
If your side mount jack is just bolted on and can be moved then moving it as far back as possible will give you the best odds of it working.
Now to determine which weight distribution hitch is correct for your setup you will need to determine your total tongue weight. Total tongue weight is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to tow trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your 2015 Toyota Sienna XLE. Using a tongue weight like the # e98840 is an easy way to get an accurate tongue weight measurement, but there are other methods outlined in the included help article.
More than likely a system like the Curt Short-Arm Weight Distribution System with Shank - Trunnion Bar - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW # C17050 would be correct as it works with tongue weights between 500-600lbs. The spring bars included with this system are 30-5/8" long so you will need to measure that far back from the center of your trailer coupler to see if that clears your jack.
If it does not then the only option will be going with an A-Frame style jack.
If you find you have a different total tongue weight, just let me know.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
