Recommended Cushioned Equalizers To Replace 8" Long MORryde CRE3000 Equalizers
Question:
My morryde cre 3000 has a measurement of 8 inches center to center on the bolt holes. The road armor has only 6 inches center to center on the bolt holes and my shackles are only 2 1/4 inches, is it a good idea to just get longer shackles to make up the difference or will that change the characteristics of the suspension. If so what length or if not any other ideas

It may be possible to use the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit - Tandem Axle - Qty 2 # LC696740 you were looking at to replace your MORryde CRE3000 equalizers that are 8" long but you would need to use shackle straps that are 2" longer. We do not currently offer shackle straps that are 4" long or longer so they will likely be difficult to find.
Instead I recommend going with the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit - Double-Eye Springs - Tandem Axle - 8,000 lbs # K71-653-00 which measure 7-3/4" between the two horizontal mounting holes as shown in the included diagram. This kit includes new heavy duty 2-1/4" shackle straps, and new wet bolts.
