Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring and Tow Bar Kit for 2018 GMC Sierra 1500
Question:
I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500, 5.7L V8, 8 speed. Both Best Parts to Flat Tow a 2018 GMC Sierrainch articles recommend either the RM-9284-2 or the RM-152 for wiring. Do I need the extra wiring or is the electrical wiring that comes with the RM-676 sufficient?

The Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, # RM-152 is used to for creating a connection that lets you use your vehicle's tail lights and wiring system for the needed indicator lights. This is purchased separately, if needed, using # RM-152. Wiring for the same purpose is included in the RoadMaster Nighthawk All Terrain and Sterling All Terrain Towing Combo Kit, # RM-9284-2; along with other items. The red wire cable that is part of the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar w/ LED Lights, # RM-676, will connect to the wiring for indicator lights.
If you purchase the RoadMaster Nighthawk All Terrain and Sterling All Terrain Towing Combo Kit, # RM-9284-2. You not need to additionally purchase the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, # RM-152.
