Can Rain Get Into the Ultra-Fab Solar-Powered Plumbing Vent

Question:

Im looking for some sort of vent to use on my Coleman Santa Fe Camper. Could go either on the top or side. Im thinking about this item...maybe with an added solar cell to power...or maybe Ill just power it all the time when parked along with my battery trickle charging. Also...would this or the Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - 6-1/4inch Diameter - Smoke Ventline Enclosed Trailer Parts - VP-543SP... be a better choice?

The opening on the solar-powered vent # UF53-945001 is up underneath the top portion so it is very unlikely that rain could get in. But it is not outside the realm of possibility if the rain was hard enough (sideways rain in high winds). I have included a link to a video review of this vent for you.

As far as keeping rain out, the Ultra-Fab solar-powered vent would be my top choice over Ventline vent # VP-543SP. The Ventline vent is also hardwire only so it will need to connect to 12 volt power in the trailer. I have linked a video for this vent as well.
