I have had several trailers in my Excavatinng business, all pulled good. This ledgen trailer is supposed to be above average Do you think beefing up the springs help with sway?

The most common cause of trailer sway is having an improper tongue weight. I would first recommend adjusting the tongue weight on the trailer to get within the ideal range of 10-15%. If the sway still persists then you'll want to look into sway control which comes in a few forms; electric sway control like the Sway Command Electronic Sway Control System for Electric Trailer Brakes part # LC380605 and friction sway control like the Reese Friction Sway Control Kit part # 83660. The friction sway control requires some setup but is more effective of the two options.
I don't think heavier leaf springs would help with trailer sway.
