Can A Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter Handle Flat Towing And Towing A Trailer
Question:
This would fit my needs perfectly for my jeep Wrangler it would allow me to fit my bike rack and add my trailer ball to the bottom 2inch spot.. Im seeing its not for trailers? Curious why? If it will pull a car, certainly it would a 5x8 trailer with ATV .. the curt D210 would be perfect if the rise wasnt 6 Inches..Thanks

I do understand your frustration but this restriction is not from etrailer, it is from Roadmaster. Please keep in mind while the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 4" Drop/Rise, part # RM-077-4, is rated for flat towing that this application adds virtually no tongue weight when hooked up to your vehicle properly. Towing a trailer will always add some tongue weight and create more side to side movement, more torque, etc.
The Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers, part # D210, is a better option. It comes ready to tow, whether it is a flat tow or towing a trailer. It has a maximum total tongue weight of 750lbs and a maximum tow weight of 7500lbs. It comes with one 5/8" hitch pin to secure the adapter to your hitch receiver. It does not come with a second pin for the hitch receiver portion of the adapter.
I have included a product description link and a video review link below.
