Can New Base Rails Be Installed On a 2005 GMC Sierra 3500 with Old 5th Wheel Frame Brackets

Question:

I bought the Demco 21k 5th hitch from you guys. My truck has already installed, what I thought was, an ISR kit in the bed. As I find out now my bed rail kit is missing the 29 inch wide holes that the new hitch requires. My bed rails are the std 43 inches long but they have the 8 mounting holes at each end of each rail. My question is: Can I mount a Curt bed rail set $ in my truck and is it compatible with the Demco hitch mounting? I already have all the hardware installed in the truck Is the Curt bed rail kit mounting, 8 holes, spaced width wise the same as what I have now? I think my ISR rails are originally from BandW. I cant find any specs showing the dimension of hole spacing on the Curt bed rails. If you could provide me that measurement. Thanks

I do have an option for you but you cannot mix and match base rails and frame brackets. Therefore, you'll have to purchase an entire new mounting kit, complete with frame brackets and base rails. I recommend the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Hitches part # DM8552012-71 which provides the ISR pattern.
