What Type of BedRug Trimming is Required to Install Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch

Hi, I was contacting you guys to get a specification on some installation instructions, I have a bed rug in my truck and need some clarification. If I’m mounting the companion 5th wheel hitch, I already have the area trimmed where the turnover ball goes, as far as trimming for the 5th wheel hitch, do I only need to trim the four corner contact points or do I need to trim a large square section of the whole hitch out?

The simplest trimming solution for the bedrug of your truck bed would be a large square that the Companion part t3 BWRVK3500 would fit into but if you wanted to do a more minimalist approach you'd want to cut two channels that line up with the "bars" that are on the underside of the hitch since it's basically two long bars that the hitch rests on the truck bed floor.
