Visibility of LED on Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
How am I supposed to see the LED when my RV 7-Way on my tow vehicle is behind the bumper, and the Echo mounts transverse behind the bumper with the LEDs in the up position. In other words the Echo is hidden from view and it can not be seen except by laying on the ground and crawling under the rear of the TV. so how important is it to see the LED on the Echo? Pictures of my RV 7-way are posted on etrailer on my hitch install.

The LED's on your Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 illuminate in blue to indicate device not connected, green when it is connected, yellow when calibrating, and red to indicate a fault. Being able to see the LED lights are not that important unless you are troubleshooting an issue or to see status during pairing. Once you are connected/paired to your smart phone the same information that the the indicator lights provide is also, and more easily, viewed from connected device.
