Can The Inno Ridge Rooftop Cargo Box 8 Cu Ft Fit Factory Roof Rack On 2016 Subaru Outback?
Question:
I have a 2016 Subaru Outback 3.6 with siderails that rotate to become crossbars. First, will this fit on the roof? Second, will it block the fin on the back?

The Inno Ridge Rooftop Cargo Box - 8 cu ft - Gloss Black # INBRA220R-BK that you were looking at should fit the factory roof rack on your 2016 Subaru Outback without an issue, however, there are a few measurements you can take just to be sure. This box fits crossbars that are between 1 and 3-1/2" wide and between 3/4" and 1-3/8" tall. You also need to make sure your crossbar spread is between 20" and 30" (see photo).
In order for the trunk to be opened when this box is installed, there must be at least 11-3/8" between the rear crossbar and the line where the trunk and roof meet. Also if the roof fin is within 11-3/8" of the rear crossbar then it could come in contact with the cargo box only if the fin is taller than the crossbars, which is unlikely. As long as the fin is not taller than the crossbars, you won't have an issue. I attached a demonstration video for you.
