How To Attach 4-way Connector To etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver e98848 On 2018 Honda CR-V

Question:

Hello, I currently have the OEM Class I hitch on my 2018 Honda CRV and am thinking about upgrading to this one. Is there a place to connect the OEM wiring harness? Your video mentions part 18140 but I just wanted to make sure there is a place to mount it given the majority of the hitch is behind the rear bumper. Thanks!

To attach your OEM trailer connector to the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98848 you are thinking about installing on your 2018 Honda CR-V I recommend the Curt Easy Mount Bracket for 4- or 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector - 2" Hitch # C58001 which will mount the 4-way connector to the receiver itself.

The # 18140 you mentioned would not work due to the crosstube being hidden behind the bumper, and having underbody trim in the way.
