Recommended Rear Suspension Enhancement For 2001 Chevrolet Suburban Towing 8000lb Camper
Question:
What helper springs should I use
asked by: Michael S
Expert Reply:
As long as the tongue weight of your 8000lb camper does not exceed 1000lbs the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs - Rear # AL60769 would be a great option for your 2001 Chevrolet Suburban as it provides 1000lbs of load leveling support which is adjustable by adjusting the air pressure in the helper springs.
If your tongue weight is above 1000lbs you could damage the # AL60769 so you would be better off with the # SSR-204-40 as you will not damage them by being over 1000lbs of tongue weight.
I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
