Determining Which Equalizers, Shackles, and Wet Bolts Fit Trailer W/ Squeaking Suspension

Question:

I’m about to order two of these equalizers. I’m tired of my trailer squeaking. I would like to replace everything. I know I need two of these, however I do t know what else I will need. I’m thinking maybe wet bolts but I’m not sure. Sorry for not being to descriptive but I’m far from being a mechanic.

I would be happy to walk you through how to determine which replacement components you will need, but you will need to take a few measurements of the components on your trailer.

First the # 013-144-03 you were looking at measures 7-3/4" from center to center of the horizontal mounting holes as shown in the included diagram. As long as this matches your current equalizers this would be a great replacement option.

Moving on to the shackles you will need to measure center to center of the holes to determine the length. If you have 2-1/4" shackles you will need 8 of the # LC122487, or if you have 3-1/8" shackles you will need 8 of the # TRSL313 instead.

Now for wet bolts you will need 14 of the Wet Equalizer Bolt with Locknut and Grease Zerk # 126B2.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
