What are the Ford OEM Wiring Functions for a Brake Controller on a 2004 Ford F-250

Question:

Factory plug has been cut off and i need to know what wires color truck go to what wires on controller? Thanks!!

There are 2 possible Ford OEM brake controller wiring harness configurations. If your wire bundle has a pink wire in it then the functions are as follows:

Pink on truck goes to Black on controller for 12 volt power
Red on truck goes to Red on controller for input from stoplight switch
While on truck goes to White on controller for ground
Blue on truck goes to Blue on controller for output to trailer brakes
Brown on truck is not used

If your factory bundle does NOT have the pink wire but has a light green wire then the functions are as follows:

Red on truck goes to Black on controller for 12 volt power
Light Green on truck goes to Red on controller for input from stoplight switch
While on truck goes to White on controller for ground
Dark Blue on truck goes to Blue on controller for output to trailer brakes
Brown on truck is not used

And if there is some other colors used then you will need a circuit tester like # PTW2979 if needed to determine the functions.
