Is 5 Inches of Clearance Enough For Slide-Out Awning LCV000163300
Question:
I am considering installing slide-out covers on our 5th wheel. Noticed that the factory installed awning is close to one of the slide-outs. I measure 5 inches from the outside edge of the slide-out flange to the outside edge of the awning frame. Is this typically enough to accommodate the slide-out cover hardware?

Expert Reply:
You will need at least 7 inches of clearance from the edge of your slide in order to use the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning # LCV000163300.
Since you only have 5 inches of clearance, what you can do is simply use the next size down, the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 12'7" Wide # LCV000163299.
