Will Adding Firestone AirBags Affect the Factory Ride Height

Question:

Will the trucks stock height be the same after the bags are installed? Meaning when Im not pulling a trailer and I air down, will my truck return to the height before the bags were installed?

Yes. When your Firestone Ride-Rite Air-Bags like the # F2582 are installed the factory ride height will not be affected even with the required 5psi air pressure for the airbags. Even when the bags are full, your factory ride height won't really drastically change since these aren't designed to work as a lift; they will potentially add an inch or so at full inflation depending on the condition of your suspension.

In order to make sure you can air the bags up on the go you might want to consider adding a compressor system like the Firestone Air Command II - Analog - Heavy Duty Compressor & Air Tank - Dual Function - 150 psi # F2168. This system would allow you to control the air pressure in the bags from your truck cab, so you'll never have to wonder what the pressure in the bags is and you can fill up on the fly. This system is a dual path system so you can inflate each bag individually, which is especially helpful if you ever end up with a bit of an off-center load in the truck bed.

I've linked a review video of this unit for you to have a look at.
