Thule Hitching Post Pro Or Curt Premium 4 Bike Tilting?

Question:

Hi we have a 2015 Honda Odyssey and need to carry two adult bikes one mountain bike, one womens cruiser and two kids bikes 24in and 16in. We need access to the rear of the van with the bikes loaded on the rack. We use our rack about 1x month for short distances and carry them on long trips 16+hr on the road, yearly. We are considering the Thule Hitching Post Pro and the Curt Premium 4 bike tilting hitch racks. While I like the sound of the curt rack because of the tapered nature of the rack potentially eliminating the need for adapters, many of the reviews indicate it is very challenging to load kids bikes. Which of these two racks would you recommend for our needs? Thank you

If you're wanting to be able to tilt the rack so you can access the back hatch and keep your bikes loaded, both the Curt Premium # C18064 and the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR do not allow tilting with the bikes installed. So I don't recommend either of these racks for you. You will need to get a platform style rack If you want hatch access with the bikes installed.

The Malone Runway # MAL82VR would work for all of your bikes and can tilt with all of them installed. You may need an adapter bar # 64005 for the kids bikes and if your womens cruiser is a step through.
