Easiest Bike Rack For Loading Step Through Bikes
Question:
We have just purchased 2 Aventon Pace 350 Step-Through e-bikes and are looking for a hitch mounted carrier for a 2016 Subaru Outback we are having a 2inch receiver installed. We are senior citizens and concerned about ease of loading and unloading the bikes from the rack. We are looking at either the Hollywood Sport Rider for E-bikes HR1500 or the Rocky Mountain Split Rail LS2. Which rack is easier for loading and unloading? Any other suggestions or ideas? Thanks,

For ease of install I would recommend getting a bike rack with a ramp like the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202. The Sport Rider # HLY84FR and the Split Rail # RKY11404 do not have ramps. The EasyFold XT comes with a ramp and you can buy a longer ramp # TH933402 to make it even easier to load your bikes.
Another nice thing about the EasyFold XT is that it folds up like a suit case and has wheel on it! This makes storing it easier and you can wheel it to and from the vehicle when putting the rack on or off.
