Would Transferring a Companion Hitch from F-350 to F-450 Require Changing Height Adjustment

Question:

I currently have a 2019 F-350 SRW with a BWRVK3300 mounted in the back pulling a 2019 Apline 3320MK with 2150lbs hitch weight. Was wondering when i put this same setup in my new 2021 F-450. Will I need to raise the height up on the BWRVK3300 system? Thanks in advance.

The B and W Companion Hitch for Ford OEM rail kits part # BWRVK3300 does fit the rail kit of your 2021 Ford F-450. I'd suspect you might have to lower the hitch head height but it really just depends. I doubt your 350's suspension was sagging much with the weight of the trailer on the hitch but the 450 would sag even less so it would most likely sit taller. But you also would want to measure the height from the top of the truck bed to the ground for both trucks and compare the heights there as well.

The short answer is "it depends" and you'll basically just have to try it and see if any adjustments would need to be made.
