Recommended Brakes, Hubs and Drums for Timbren 3500 HD System with 4 Inch Lift
Question:
I have a small off road trailer with over sized off road tires. I want to make sure that this set will all work together that was recommended by one of your experts in a QandA i read. The timbren 4foot lift 3500# appears in the photo to have pins for the e-break assemble but so does the actual e-break referenced. I just want to make sure I get it right and would like to take advantage of the free shipping so a quick response is much appreciated. Expert Reply:
The correct hubs for a Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - 4" Lift Spindle - Off-Road Tires - 3,500 lbs # ASR35HDS02 will have a # 25580 inner and # 15123 outer bearing, so the # 84546UC3-EZ hub and drums will not work. Instead you'll want to use the # 8-201-9UC3-EZ, which are going to require 12" brakes like the # AKEBRK-7-SA. You may also need some brake mounting hardware # BRKH12 to mount the brakes on the drums.
This would give you the compatible parts needed to create an axle-less setup for your off-road trailer.
