How To Improve Rear Suspension On 2018 Nissan Pathfinder When Pulling Travel Trailer
Question:
Hello, I am towing a 3500 lb Travel Trailer with my 2018 Nissan pathfinder SL FWD. The rear sits low to start with and even lower when we hook up the trailer. I am using a Husky weight distribution hitch. What options do I have to help with the rear suspension? Thanks,

I recommend installing a rear-suspension enhancement system. This will not only level out your vehicle and reduce body roll, but will also improve the overall handling and braking. The only kit that is confirmed to fit your 2WD 2018 Nissan Pathfinder is the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # F4118. This is an airbag setup that will assist your factory suspension; it does not replace the factory suspension.
These airbags need to be inflated or deflated according to how much weight is added. You can get by with just using the kit mentioned above, but if you do not want to manually adjust them at the rear of your vehicle then you will want to install a compressor kit which allows you to adjust the bags from the cab of your vehicle. For a compressor setup I would go with Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge w/ Light-Duty Compressor - Single Function - 130 psi # F2158 as this is a budget-friendly option that will work well for your application.
Always keep a minimum of 5psi in the airbags and go up from there according to how the vehicle levels out with weight added; never exceed 130psi. I attached a couple demonstration videos for you.
