Can 4.80-12 Load Range C Trailer Tire Be Ran at Lower Pressures Than What's Listed on Tire Sidewall
Question:
I have a trailer which is carry all the time riding lawn mower why would I need on my tire pressure type c for 90psi?? Can I use 70 psi

Expert Reply:
We recommend keeping trailer tires fully inflated to the pressure rating listed on the tire sidewall as most trailer tire manufacturers don't load test their tires at any other pressure than the maximum. If you were to run your tires at a lower pressure than the recommended 90 psi, your tires would have an unknown load capacity and you could possibly be exceeding the load rating without knowing it.
