Lifted Jeep Weight and Sway Distribution Trailer Hitch for 480-630lbs Tongue Weight
Question:
Hi! I have a lifted jeep wrangler and an ultralight trailer. Wrangler has a 2inch receiver. Trailer requires 2 5/16 ball. Wrangler is lifted and may require up to 8inch of . I would like a sway control hitch with bolt on brackets. Trailer dry tongue weight is 480lbs on a 4700lb trailer. Tongue weight may increase up to 150lbs if trailer is loaded. Can you suggest a combination of equipment to address these needs? Thank you.

For your trailer that will have a tongue weight of 480-630lbs I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA94-00-0800. This hitch is capable of hauling trailers with tongue weights of 400-800lbs and maximum trailer weight of 8,000lbs. It has a bolt on brackets and built in sway control.
The hitch doesn't include the 2-5/16" Ball # 63840, so you will need to purchase that as well.
To give you the drop for your lifted Jeep you will need a Extended Drop Shank # FA92-02-4315. This Shank will give you up to 8" of drop.
