In regards to a flat-tow setup, the base plates are the only vehicle specific component. Therefore, you can switch the wiring, tow bar, safety cables, and braking system between the two vehicles. That said, you'd want to make sure you're using a portable systems like the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System part # BLU37TR and Magnetic Tow Lights part # PE26UR.
