Wondering if you or the manufacturing CE Smith company, recommend painting the galvanized steel for the guides before installing. Thanks

No. In most cases getting paint to stick to the galvanized steel on the CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons # CE27740 is not going to be possible because of the layer of zinc that's left after galvanization. I don't recommend painting them as it's most likely going to be an exercise in futility.

The galvanized uprights used on the CE Smith #CE27740 are 18 inches tall. Once the PVC uprights are added, the guide-ons are 40 inches tall. I've linked to a product video for the #CE27740 guide-ons.

the CE Smith guide-ons #CE27610 are approximately 15 degrees off 90 degrees. So that would be 75 or 105 degrees depending on which way the guide-on was facing.
