Rockerball With Forged Mount and Sway Control
Question:
I have a Curt XTRA Duty Forged Ball Mount with sway control tab. The base of the mount is wider than a standard hollow shank mount. In the video, there appears to be a bottom plate on the ball that would fit over the shoulders of a regular ball mount. Will the Rockerball work with these?

Expert Reply:
The Curt RockerBalls # C82KR are not to be used with sway control. The 2 systems will fight against each other as you are driving.
They also will not fit the Curt Forged Ball Mounts # C45341. They require the 2-1/2" wide ball mount for the anti-rotation base that keeps the RockerBall aligned properly. Also the bolt hole must be within 1/16" of the 1" ball threaded shaft.
I recommend Curt Ball Mount # C93KR due to the added height of the RockerBall. This will work if your current ball mount is a standard 2" drop mount.
