The simplest way to install a controller and a 7-way trailer connector on a 2015 Porsche Cayenne would be to use a wireless brake controller like the Curt # C51180 Echo. To install the 7-way trailer connector, you'll first need to install a 4 pole trailer connector to access the taillight circuits for the trailer. For that' I'd recommend the # 119250KIT. You'll also need the # ETBC7L to convert the 4 pole provided by the # 119250 to a 7-way. I'll link to some product videos that explain how the Echo wireless brake controller and the install kit work.

Since the vehicle isn't equipped with the tow package and the factory, and due to the sophisticated nature of the vehicle's wiring, this is the route I'd recommend taking.
