can you tell me what the service limit is on the brake pads for a 12x2 magnetic brake on a 5200lb dexter trailer 15 in wheel ,how thick should the material be? i measure roughly .25 inch including the metal bonding plate. thx for your help

On 5,200 lb Dexter brake assemblies you'd want to replace the brake pads when they have gotten thinner than 1/16 of an inch. So since you are at 1/4 of an inch yours are still fine.

If the 5-bolt mounting flange holes are 2 inches apart on center at the top holes and 3 inches on center for the bottom 2 holes then you can use Dexter brake assembly #23-459 as a replacement 12 x 2 inch electric brake assembly.
