Troubleshooting Light And Motor Of Lipper Trailer Jack LC285318 Not Working After Tailgate Hit Jack
Question:
Was leaving a campsite and my partner didnt get our trucktailgate latched well. It opened while driving and hit the front of our Lippert Tongue Jack LC285318right on the controls. The light and motor wont turn on now. Any ideas or suggestionsplease?

First things first I would remove the top cover of your Lippert Electric Trailer Jack with Footplate - A-Frame - 18" Lift - 3,500 lbs - Black # LC285318 by removing 4 screws and verifying that when the tailgate hit the jack it did not loosen the connections to the switches and light.
While the cover is off go ahead and check for any damaged components or loose wiring that needs to be reattached. I would closely examine the on/off switch and its wiring as that would explain why you have no functions at all.
