How To Make Adapter To Go From 7-way Connector To European Connector
Question:
Hello Im taking my 2011 Toyota Sequoia to Europe to rent a RV camper, and utility trailers as needed. I have a Class III hitch and the US standard round 7 Pin plug. Can you please recommend heavy duty wiring adapter which plugs into my 7 pin/connects with most if not all Euro configurations. Also I will need a heavy duty 50 mm ball with a 1.5 inch shank which I can bolt onto my 2 ball mount. Thanks

Starting with the adapter to convert your 7-way blade connector to the European connector you will need to make this adapter your self starting with a trailer end 7-way connector like the # H20042. You will also need a 2-wire to 3-wire converter # C56196 to convert the combined brake light and turn signal wiring of the 7-way blade connectors to separate wires which the European connectors use.
Unfortunately, we do not offer the European connectors, so you will need to source one to complete the adapter.
For the heavy duty 50mm hitch ball and ball mount the only option we have is the 50mm Hitch Ball - 1" Diameter x 2-1/8" Long Shank - Chrome - 8K # EH53C-C which has a 8000lb towing capacity, and a 1" shank. For a ball mount I recommend the Draw-Tite Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 2-3/4" Rise, 4" Drop - 9" Long - 7.5K # 2753 which has a 7500lb weight capacity.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
