How To Determine Correct Rear Anti-Sway Bar For 2008 Chevy Silverado 150

Question:

I own a 2008 Chev Silverado 1500. You show two different sway bar kits for this truck, 1109-167 and 1109-176. Judging by the pictures in the install guides, the 1109-176 is the only one that would install on my truck. Please let me know if this is correct. Thank you.

Ok, so I checked with Roadmaster and both rear anti-sway bars are potential fits for your 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500, and the correct one to fit your truck will depend on the diameter of your current OEM sway bar. These trucks came with different size anti-sway bars so what you will need to do to ensure a fit is measure your current sway bar's diameter.

If it is 1" diameter (which I think is the most likely option), you will need the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1109-176.

If you measure your anti-sway bar and get 1-1/4" diameter the correct fit is the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1109-167.

While I realize this is not the hard-and-fast answer you were looking for, unfortunately, in this case there isn't one that can be offered due to the different size anti-sway bars that could be on your truck. I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well if you'd like.
