What Height Difference Calls for Using a High Low Adapter When Flat Towing

Question:

my rv hitch is 12” off the ground and my gladiator rubicon mount is roughly 18”. will i need an adapter for my hitch to finish my flat tow setup?

You will need a high low adapter since basically it's okay to have up to a 3 inch height difference between the base plate attachment point and the hitch of the RV. Since you are at a 6 inch difference an adapter would be needed.

To be level you'd want the part # BLU28XR. If you were to flat tow without an adapter like this you'd wear out the front tires and suspension components of your Gladiator quickly since the RV would be basically pulling down on the vehicle as it's pulling forward.
