Recommended Helper Spring Product for Class A Motorhome on 2018 Ford F-53 Chassis

Question:

I have a 2018 Jayco Precept 36T class A motor home on a Ford F53 24,000 lbs chassis. I am wanting to improve the drive. I would like to know which would be most appropriate for my rig. The Sumo Spring product or the Timbren product. What reason is there to choose one over the other. Thank you.

I'd recommend the SumoSpring product over the Timbren, because of the ride quality. The rubber used in the Timbren springs is pretty stiff. The product works very well in that it offers plenty of support but you will experience a fairly harsh ride once the suspension gets compressed. The SumoSprings are constructed of a microcellular urethane, and have a bit more give to them which will yield a more comfortable ride. The SumoSprings will also reduce sway and body roll during turns.

I'd recommend the # SSF-173-40-2 SumoSpring Rebel for the front suspension and the # SSR-183-54-1 Maxim for the rear. Both products would replace the existing factory bump stop.

I've linked to some installation videos that you might find helpful.
