Recommended Bike Rack To Carry 2 Lectric Fat Tire e-Bikes on Jeep

Question:

I need a hitch e-bike bike rack for my Jeep. 150# capacity. We have two fat tire Lectric bikes that weigh 63 pounds each. Lectric Bikes recommended Hollywood. What you say?

Lectric Bikes is right on the money. My go-to recommendation is the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE, part # HLY84FR. The rack can handle 2 bikes weighing up to 80 lbs each with tires up to 5 inches in width.

To determine if the rack will work on your Jeep, you'll need to find the hitch pin hole in your hitch receiver tube. Measure from the center of the hole rearward until you clear either the furthest rearward point of the back bumper or the furthest rearward edge of the spare tire (if there's a rear-mounted spare tire). I'll link an article that shows how to take this measurement. If this distance is less than 7-1/2 inches, the # HLY84FR will work for you. If the distance is less than 5 inches, you'll also be able to fold the rack up flat against the rear of the vehicle. If one or both bikes have step through frames, you'll need the # HRBA-PRO adapter bar to give the rack's frame hook something to grab onto.

If that won't be enough clearance, the Saris # SA4412B-FB Freedom would be a good choice. The rack can accommodate 2 bikes weighing 60 lbs each. If you remove the battery packs from your bikes, you'll be under that threshold. The rack is compatible with tires up to 5 inches in width. For clearance, if your measurement is less than 10 inches, the rack will fit perfectly. This rack holds the bikes from the bottom of the tires and from the seat post tube, so an adapter bar like what's mentioned above won't be necessary.

I've linked to demonstration videos for the bike racks I mentioned.
