Parts Needed to Add Back Up Lights & 7-Way Connector on Boat Trailer

Question:

want to add backup up lights to a boat trailer the trailer has a 4 pin harness I think I will have to run a new wire for the back up lights and then since my tow vehicle has a 4 way and a 7 way I figured I would switch the trailer from 4 to 7 so when tow vehicle is in reverse the new back up lights would come on sound correct? if so do you carry what I would need including the submersible lights 2014 Jeep grand Cherokee

We can get you set up to add back up lights and a 7-way to your boat trailer, and I'll go over what you'll need. Let's start with the back up lights, and for your boat trailer you'll want submersible lights like you said, the GloLight LED Backup Light for Truck or Trailer - Submersible # BUL111CFPG.

This will use a 2-wire (power and ground) pigtail, either the Right Angle 2-Wire Pigtail # A49PB or 2-Wire Pigtail # A45CB.

Then for added wire I recommend 16 Gauge # 16-1-1, which is sold by the foot, and for a trailer side 7-way, if you want a junction box you can use the Junction Box # 3375601100, 7-Way Connector # H20046, and Ring Terminals # 44-5310A.

I have added links below to video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like.
