Can Bearing Buddy Fit on EZ Lube Spindle that has Zerk Fitting
Question:
My boat trailer spindles currently have a grease zerk in the end. I am looking at installing bearing buddies as the rubber cover s are dry rotted. Will the bearing buddy still work in this application? Thanks!

Yes you can use a Bearing Buddy on your current axle setup but you'll have to remove the zerk/grease fitting. What you have now is an EZ lube spindle which allows you to push grease through the middle of the spindle but you can install a Bearing Buddy over one of these spindles and it will still work. The trick to picking out the correct Bearing Buddy is to go with the one that fits the bore of the hub you have where the grease cap goes. The part # BB1781 fits hub bore of 1.781 inches.
You'd want to take this dimension with a digital caliper like the part # PTW80157 to get an exact dimension.
