Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2021 Ram 2500 Towing 12,000-lbs Sandpiper 5th Wheel

I have a 21 ram 2500 short box with towing prep package and a 32 foot 12,000lb sandpiper 5th wheel. What would you recomend for a towing solution.

We've got some really great options available for your 2021 Ram 2500 short bed with the OEM prep package, and because you've got a short bed truck I do recommend using a sliding 5th wheel hitch to help provide additional clearance from the truck cab when making turns.

The best hitch available for you to tow your Sandpiper 5th wheel is the Demco Hijacker AutoSlide # DM8550034 which requires puck adapter # DM6099. Most 5th wheel hitches require you to get out of the truck and engage the slider each time you need to make a tight turn, so they're not exactly the most convenient solutions; the great thing about the Hijacker is that the slider engages automatically. This means that you're never going to have to worry about forgetting to engage the slider and get a surprise broken rear window. This hitch also has a single piece jaw that makes 360 degree contact with the kingpin, so it's going to have minimal rattle and the most secure connection; pair this with the double pivoting hitch head and you're going to have minimal chucking and rattle, and an all around smooth ride.
