How To Carry Bike Rack With 2021 Ram 1500 When Towing Travel Trailer
Question:
I have a 2021 Ram 1500 Quad Cab with a Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover. Can you tell me what bike rack, I can use over the bed cover. I cannot use my tow hitch. I have a travel trailer. Thanks

I have another option for you, but since the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK448227 you have on your 2021 Ram 1500 does not have the t-tracks for cross bars there is not a bike rack that will be able to be installed above the bed of your truck.
Instead I recommend using the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers # D210 which will allow you to tow your travel trailer and and carry a bike rack at the same time. The # D210 has maximum tongue weight rating of 750lbs which includes the tongue weight of your travel trailer and the weight of the bike rack and bikes.
If your tongue weight with the bike rack is over 750lbs then using a front mount trailer hitch receiver like the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C87FR to carry the bike rack will be the best option.
If you do not already have a bike rack I recommend taking a look at the Thule Hitch Post Pro # TH934XTR which will accommodate 4 bikes weight up to 35lbs each.
I included videos of the # D210 and # TH934XTR for you to take a look at.
