Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2021 Jeep Cherokee

Question:

I have a 2021 Fleetwood Fortis 32RW motorhome and want to tow a 2021 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Lux 4x4. Im looking for a setup thats easy to install, but even more important is ease of use and smoothest drive. I would greatly appreciate some advise on the best system for my application. Here is a list of what I created based on reading info on etrailer.com, but would like to know for sure this is the best option, if it includes everything needed, and nothing not needed. Roadmaster Nighthawk - RM-676, Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit RM-521452-5, Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Braking System - SM99251, Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit - RM-154

The Roadmaster parts you've selected are a great choice to give you a high quality flat towing setup for your 2021 Jeep Cherokee, however there is one change I would make here. Since the Roadmaster Nighthawk # RM-676 comes with a 7 wire to 6 wire wiring harness included, I recommend using the # RM-152 instead of the # RM-154, which is better suited for a 4 way trailer connector. If your Fleetwood Fortis does not have a 7 way on the rear and instead has a 4 way, then the # RM-154 will work just fine and you just won't use the wiring included with the Nighthawk. The Nighthawk also comes with safety cables included, so it's got you covered for just about everything and it is compatible with the Roadmaster EZ-5 Baseplates # RM-521452-5 you've chosen.

Other than that, the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 is a great choice for supplemental braking, especially on a new vehicle that you'll be flat towing for a while since you won't have to mess with setting anything up each time you want to get on the road.

The only other component you might potentially need is a high/low adapter, so I've linked a helpful article on the procedure to measure to see if one is needed as well as our entire selection of those that you can check out to choose the best fit.
