Recommended Suspension Helper Springs for 2021 Chevy Tahoe Towing Large Aluminum Boat

Question:

I have a 2021 Tahoe Z71 and towing a 21’ aluminum boat. The rear ended sag a bit when the boat is hitched. I’ll tow roughly a dozen times a year. What options do you have to keep the vehicle level? Thank you in advance.

Since you're towing a consistent load, I'd recommend a jounce bumper replacement-type system versus an air helper spring. Such a system won't affect your ride quality unless the rear suspension of your Tahoe is compressed from hauling cargo or the tongue weight of a trailer.

I'd recommend the Sumo Springs # SSR-204-40 which will provide up to 1000 lbs of additional support. The way a jounce bumper spring replacement works is that they won't have any influence on the ride of the vehicle until the rear suspension compresses from the gear being hauled in the cargo area of from the tongue weight of the boat trailer. Even when the suspension compresses to the point where the SumoSprings come into contact with the axle, they'll still provide a more comfortable ride than other jounce bumper replacements available like the Timbren # TGMRYS4..
