Why Cant the Blue Ox 88132 Be Used for Towing a Trailer

Question: Designed for flat towing only. Do not use to tow a trailer. What is flat towing? Can your Blue Ox 2 Hitch - 10 Rise/ - 11-1/2 Long item # BX88132 be used to level and tow our 27 travel trailer with out Suburban oversize tires? Thanks,

Flat towing is the towing of a vehicle behind a motor home, and the Blue Ox # BX88132 is designed for that and not to handle the tongue weight of a trailer. If you need to tow a trailer and have a ball mount with a rise/drop that extreme your best bet is to use something like the Flash E Series Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w Chrome Balls - 2" Hitch - 10" Drop, 11" Rise # FA42-00-2900, which can be adjusted to fit your needs and used in either a rise or a drop. This ball mount comes with 2" and 2-5/16" hitch balls included, is constructed from durable aluminum, so it's lightweight and strong.
