Brake Pedal Causing Turn Signals to Flash Briefly With Tail Light Converter 118158
Question:
Good morning, I have item 118158 installed between my 2007 Escalade and a trailer that has separated brake lights and turn signals. I am having an issue where when I have my emergency flashers on or initially press the brake pedal, the turn signal on the trailer will flash briefly once the brake light engages. Do I need some sort of diodes in my wiring to correct this?

Thank you for your purchase of the Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # 118158. Based on the scenario you mentioned, it does sound like there is likely backfeeding happening that is causing the turn signals to briefly flash when you hit the brakes.
The best remedy for this would be what you mentioned, which is to use diodes, the Roadmaster Hy-Power Diodes # RM-792.
I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well if you'd like.
