Question:

I love your service and products. Im hoping you can help me with this question. Im calculating the size of Lithium iron phosphate batteries and inverter Ill need for my mobile tiny house Im building. It will have 30 amp shore service AC. I will have a 9000 BTU mini split, a 12v refrigerator, all LED lights and enough power for a hot plate or coffee maker. I will have a 3500 watt generator as back up. What size inverter and batteries do I need? Thank you.

I spoke with our contact at Go Power to get some better insight on this for you.

For your inverter, you will need the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger - 3,000 Watts, part # 34275013. For the installation kit, you will need the Installation Kit for Go Power Inverters - 400 Amp Fuse - 12V and 24V, part # 342GPDCKIT5. Finally, for the batteries, you will need two of the Go Power Sun Cycle Solar RV Battery - Lithium - 12V - 250 Amp Hour - LiFePO4 - Group 4D, part # 34282740.

This combination will allow you to have 500amps of lithium battery power, a 3000 watt pure sine wave inverter with 50 amp transfer switch and a 125 amp battery charger.

If you would like to add solar panels to this setup, you can use the Go Power Solar AE-4 All Electric System with MPPT Solar Controller - 760 Watt Solar Panels, part # 342-75010. This will allow you to charge the lithium batteries at around 36 amps/hour.

I've linked to video reviews of the inverter, installation kit, and solar panels for you to look at.
