Recommended Trailer Brake Controller For 2007 International Trucks 4100 Dump Truck

I would be happy to make a recommendation for you.
For a trailer brake controller I highly recommend the tried and true Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 due to its easy to read LCD screen, built in diagnostics that are easy to understand, and it being a proportional controller meaning the trailer brakes will be applied with the same intensity that you apply the brake pedal.
To power the P3 # 90195 your 2007 Internation Trucks 4100 Dump Truck will need to have a 7-way RV connector installed. If you do not already have a 7-way connector you will first need to install a 4-way connector.
Since there is not a custom harness for your Dump Truck I recommend the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit w/ 4-Pole Connector and Circuit Tester # 119178KIT. Using the included circuit tester you will need to verify the functions of your tail light wiring and make the following connections:
White wire grounded to vehicle frame
Black wire to vehicle battery with included in-line fuse
Green wire to passenger side turn signal
Yellow wire to driver side turn signal
Red wire to brake lights(if your brake lights and turn signals use the same wire, ground this wire to vehicle frame)
Brown wire to tail lights
With a 4-way connector installed you can now install the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 starting with plugging your new 4-way connector into the connector on the # ETBC7, and making the following connections:
Black wire to vehicle battery with included 40 amp circuit breaker
White wire to vehicle frame
Blue wire to trailer brake controller
Yellow tire to vehicle reverse lights(if trailer does not have reverse lights you can tape this wire up and not use)
