Is There a Factory Brake Controller Tester Device
Question:
I have a 2014 ram 2500 with a integrated brake controller. I was wondering if there is a product that I can buy that can test this controller? The rv dealer says the the brakes on the fifth wheel were tested and that they are ok. However lately when I plug the trailer in to the truck the wheels on trailer lockup. Even if I have the controller set at 2.5 it still happens. I used to have the controller set between 6.5 to 7 and everything worked great.

The Current Monitor with 7-Blade Connector part # 6565 is what we use in our shop when testing trailer brake controllers. It has brake magnets inside so there won't be any issues with trying to trick the vehicle into thinking a trailers is connected. It will read the voltage being sent to the trailer brakes. It also test the lights and battery charge line circuit.
The other option which simply lets you know voltage is being sent, not how much is the Tekonsha 7-Way, RV-Style Tester for Brake Controllers part # 6562.
