Do I Need to Remove the Tow Hook to Install a Hitch on my 2019 Honda CR-V

Question:

I’m looking at your etrailer hitch for my 2019 Honda CRV EX. the car has some kind of towing hook below the rear bumper. Will this interfere with the hitch? The hook came as standard on the vehicle. Many thanks

Yes. In order to install a trailer hitch like the etrailer # e98848 you will need to remove any tow hook that might be attached to the rear frame stanchions. It isn't uncommon for SUVs that don't come standard with a hitch come with some sort of recovery point, and they're typically able to be removed by un-doing a few bolts. This hitch has a 2" receiver that's perfect for carrying bike racks or towing a small trailer.
