Hitch and Recommended Towing Accessories for 2014 Ford Flex
Question:
Recommended hitch for 2014 Ford Flex trailer hitch with dual exhaust.

Expert Reply:
For the 2014 Ford Flex with dual exhaust, I'd recommend the US made Curt Class III hitch, part # C13110. If you'll be towing with the hitch as opposed to just using it for a hitch mounted accessory, you'll need a few other items to complete your towing system. For a trailer wiring harness, use # 118472 or # 74682 if your Flex is equipped with the tow package. For a ball mount, I'd go with # 2753 which includes the hitch pin. For a trailer ball, use # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # 63845 for a 2 inch.
The Curt # 13551 you'd looked at isn't a fit for dual exhaust equipped models.
I've linked to installation instructions and install videos for the parts mentioned above.
