Snow Chains for 2016 BMW X5 with Tire Size 315/35R20 and 275/40R20
Question:
Greetings! I am looking to buy a set of snow chains for my 2016 BMW X5 xDrive35d. The trim level on my X5 is the M-Sport package and has a staggered setup of 20 wheels where the rear wheels are larger in width than the front. Ive replaced the OEM run flat tires with Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 in the following sizes: 275/40 ZR 20 106 Y M+S 315/35 ZR 20 110 Y M+S Ive done some preliminary research and it appears the Konig XB-16 Snow Chains are among the best fitment for my vehicle: Konig XB-16 Snow Chains https://www.etrailer.com/Tire-Chains/Konig/TH01571265.html I see the rear tires at 315/35-20 are an exact fit, and the front is close at 275/45-20. Will the Size 265 model fit both my front and rear tires? We live in the Seattle area and will be exploring the Pacific Northwest mountains, so having a quality set of snow chains is important to me. Please let me know whether the Konig XB-16 Size 265 will fit both my front and rear wheels, or if theres a different size or alternatives you recommend.

The two different tire sizes you have are different enough to require different size tire chains. For the 275/40-20 tire size the XB16 chains you'd need are part # TH01571255 and for the 315/35-20 you'd want the # TH01571265 and you'd be set with a great set of chains that will provide excellent traction, last a long time, and install easily.
