Towing 6,000 lb Camper With 2018 Ford F-150

Question:

Recently bought a 2018 f150 xl 4x4 supercrew with 2.7 ecoboost without tow package,it included a class IV receiver and seven pin/four pin wire plug. I would like to pull my #6000 camper about 30 miles to the campground 3/4 times a year. Do you think thats possible with the RAS kit? If so, which one would you recommend? P.s.truck is 6600 gear.

If your truck and hitch can handle the weight of your camper, you can haul it with your 2018 Ford F-150. The RoadActive Suspension enhancement kit # RAS3611-Y will fit and help your truck from sagging. Even though it is only about 30 miles away you do want to make sure you're hauling safely. If your trailer isn't set up right, those 30 miles could feel like 300. I use the etrailer trailer tongue weight scale # e99044. Get it level and position your gear in there to get your tongue weight around 10-15% of the overall weight of your camper.
